Employing over 108,400 people worldwide, and 840 in Australia/New Zealand, the Bayer Group has a portfolio of over 5,000 products and operations in nearly all countries of the globe. Worldwide operations are managed from Group headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany.

In 2009 the Bayer Group recorded sales of EUR 31.2 billion, and invested heavily in research and development. Bayer’s operations in Australia and New Zealand generated AU$724 million ($NZ903 million) in revenue in 2009.
