Confidor ® Guard Soil Insecticide

Confidor Guard protects sugarcane, bananas and various vegetable crops from sucking insects, and may promote stronger growth from its Stress Shield™ effect. Confidor Guard is a soil-applied treatment for the control of greyback, childers and other canegrub varieties in sugarcane. Confidor Guard is also registered for the control of silverleaf whitefly, various aphid, scale, rust, weevil and sucking pests in vegetable and fruit crops as detailed on the label, including bananas, apples, citrus, capsicum, potato and other crops. Confidor Guard was launched in 2002. The active ingredient imidacloprid is a systemic insecticide, taken up by the roots of plants and travels within the plant with the sap flow. Applying Confidor Guard to the soil is the most effective method for the control of many sucking pests. The Stress Shield effect of imidacloprid may assist in promoting bigger, stronger plants.
