About GIVE
Bayer employees can participate in the GIVE program in a number of ways:
GIVE Leave:
Bayer Australia offers one day’s paid leave to all permanent staff to volunteer.
Matched Donations:
Bayer Australia matches all staff fundraising efforts (up to a certain limit) dollar for dollar therefore doubling the total that goes to charity. Typical staff fundraising activities include morning teas, competitions, fun runs or themed dress days.
Staff Sponsorship:
Grants of up to $1000 are available to Bayer Australia and New Zealand employees (and their families) who are involved in community activities. Grants are allocated based on set guidelines and must demonstrate benefit to the local community.
Payroll Giving:
Bayer Australia offers a pre-tax payroll giving scheme making donations easy and tax effective. Bayer matches these donations dollar for dollar (limits apply).

- Bayer matched A$16,500 or NZ$18,800 of employees’ fundraising efforts.
- A$31,000 (NZ$35,000) per month direct from employees’ payroll (matched by Bayer).
- Employee community activities were sponsored for A$14,400 (NZ$16,400).
- 138 days paid leave to volunteer in the community.
