Here is a snapshot of some (but by no means all of) the activities where Bayer staff got involved and made a difference.

The Pharmaceuticals team and the Human Resources team worked for Easy Care Gardening in Sydney's leafy north shore.
Easy Care arrange gardening help for the elderly, disabled and other people who are unable to maintain their own gardens and so would not be able to stay in their own homes with this assistance.

12 employees from the Perth office mowed, trimmed, hedged and weeded the accommodation facilities at Wattle House (Mission Australia).

The Corporate Communications team (minus one) spent the afternoon restoring native bushland on Dee Why headland (Sydney).

Four people from the Animal Health team volunteered for half a day to restore bat habitat for the Grey-headed Flying Fox in the Kuring-gai Reserve (Sydney).

Daffodil Day 2006 (August) saw more than 70 Bayer employees hit the streets of cities all over Australia selling merchandise and raising money for The Cancer Council. On various sites we raised more than $600 and many thousands in public areas.

Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision, accepted a donation from Bayer CropScience, seed company customers, and the GIVE program.

21 people from Bayer CropScience decided to help disadvantaged Australians by using their GIVE leave day to sort and pack Christmas toys for the Smith Family.

The GIVE Champions spent a lot of time on 31 March (Cyclone Larry Day) rattling piggy banks, organising morning teas and raising money through raffles. Bayer employees donated $1830 from their own pockets, which was matched with $1000 from The GIVE Program and presented to the Premier's Disaster Relief Fund in Queensland.

A Bayer CropScience team took a group of disadvantaged youths from Mission Australia’s Youth Futures service for a sailing experience on Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay with Philippe Péché, a Frenchman who holds the record for sailing around the world in just over 50 days.

Bayer staff have embraced the GIVE program and are constantly planning new ways to make a difference to important causes with Bayer’s support.
