Bayer Australia - Education and Research

Education and Research

A number of examples below illustrate the breadth of Bayer’s commitment to furthering the education of school leavers, university graduates and professionals in Australia and New Zealand.

CarbonKids

Bayer is proud to partner with CSIRO to bring CarbonKids, a program that combines the latest in climate change with education for sustainability, to schools across Australia.

CarbonKids helps both primary and secondary school communities to better understand climate change and encourages positive actions that will help them become more sustainable.

Supporting Haemophilia Education

Bayer Pharmaceuticals supports haemophilia education in New Zealand, through working with the New Zealand Haemophilia Foundation on initiatives such as weekend camps for haemophilia patients and their families.

Australian Science Festival

Bayer proudly supports the Australian Science Festival, the second largest science festival in the world.

Each year Bayer gives primary and high school students the chance to win prizes for themselves and their school through the "Bayer Science For A Better Life" competition. The online competition forms part of the Australian Science Festival each year.

UNEP Partnership and Painting Competition

Bayer is the first company in the world to enter a long-term partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the area of youth and environment. The cooperation focuses on children and young people from all over the world who are interested in environmental issues and committed to protecting the world around them.

One aspect of this partnership is The International Children's Painting Competition which invites children from around the world to illustrate their own personal view of the environment – their wishes, fears and hopes.
