Bayer Australia Pay Equity Statement 2025
Bayer Australia has published the findings of its 2024–2025 Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) submission, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The WGEA results show an average total remuneration gender pay gap of 2.4% and a median total remuneration gender pay gap of 5.3%. These figures are reported in line with WGEA requirements and reflect our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement in pay equity.
As a life sciences company with a history spanning more than 160 years, Bayer has long been at the forefront of innovation in health and agriculture. With a local presence in Australia since 1897, Bayer employs over 500 people across the country and remains focused on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
We recognise that achieving pay equity is an ongoing journey. Our current gender pay gap outcomes are influenced by workforce participation and the distribution of employees across different role types, with the largest gaps observed in general management, clerical and administration, and technician or trade based roles.
Bayer remains committed to closing the gender pay gap and ensuring that all employees, regardless of gender, are valued and compensated fairly. Through continued focus on equitable pay practices and inclusive talent processes, we aim to support sustained progress toward pay equity.
